S1-11 – Social protection
Social protection as part of employment conditions
All Rentenbank employees are integrated into the German social security system. In particular, this includes statutory health insurance, long-term care insurance, unemployment insurance, pension insurance and accident insurance. As all employment relationships are based in Germany, a uniform statutory social protection framework applies to the entire workforce. In addition, company benefits supplement statutory cover in selected areas.
Social protection in key life situations
Illness and reintegration
Employees are covered by statutory health insurance. In the event of longer absences due to illness, a company integration management programme (Betriebliches Eingliederungsmanagement; BEM) is in place to support an individual and gradual return to working life.
Unemployment
Social protection in the event of unemployment is provided through statutory unemployment insurance.
Occupational accidents and disability
In addition to statutory accident insurance, a company group accident insurance policy is in place, providing additional benefits in the event of accidents or permanent impairment.
Parental leave and family-related responsibilities
The provisions of the German Federal Parental Allowance and Parental Leave Act (Bundeselterngeld- und Elternzeitgesetz; BEEG) apply with regard to parental leave and parental allowance. Rentenbank supports employees through transparent information, flexible return-to-work arrangements and part-time options.
Retirement and pension provision
In addition to statutory pension insurance, Rentenbank offers a company pension scheme and deferred compensation models.
